NovaWurks is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative individual to join a highly creative, motivated and talented group of engineers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with a management team, as well as other electrical engineers, to devise new ways of producing components and subsystems that go into our SLEGO™ modules and conformal spacecraft. We’re looking for someone with a background in electrical engineering, who can work well in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to work well on a team.

  • Work with a collaborative team to help develop innovative solutions for multiple contracts and projects.
  • Be responsible for all phases of the electronics development cycle, including requirements, schematics design, analysis, board layout and routing, fabrication, test, integration, and documentation.
  • Work to support hardware production, integration, testing, and validation.
  • Participating in electronics requirements generation, design, implementation, and testing discussion with multiple team members.
  • Performing schematics design, worst-case analysis, board layout, and routing.
  • Design of test fixtures and prototype/breadboard implementations to evaluate circuits.
  • Integrating with pre-existing software, and new software developed by other team members.
  • Planning and maintaining development schedules on projects with multiple team members.
  • Participating in team discussions involving vehicle architecture and design for ongoing and future projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering OR 4 years of Electrical Engineering experience
    • New/recent graduates will be considered if they can demonstrate exemplary capabilities and experience implementing electronics designs in school or personal projects in lieu of professional experience.
  • Must be highly self-starting, and can perform duties autonomously.
  • Must have experience with standard electronics equipment required: oscilloscope, power supply, logic analyzer, schematic capture, board layout tools, etc.
  • United States citizenship is required.
  • Specialization in embedded electronics development, preferably with experience in mobile and low-power ARM SOC platforms. Consideration will be given to candidates who have unusual or unique skills and experience in applying innovative, state-of-the-art, or leading-edge technology approaches to satellite, or other space-related challenges.
  • 2+ years of experience with Altium Designer.
  • 2+ years of Solidworks Experience.
  • Experience designing and analyzing closed-loop control systems and implementation using microcontrollers and FPGAs.
  • Experience with embedded software platforms including but not limited to Android AOSP, Linux, or other RTOS.
  • Experience in software development / embedded software on microcontrollers.
  • Experience with brushless DC motor control and servo drives.
  • Experience with RF electronics design and communication systems.
  • Experience with power converters and switch-mode power supply design.
  • Experience with FPGA or ASIC design and HDL.
